The contract involves the new construction of a 2.8 km section of double track between Skí¸yen and Asker, west of Oslo. The project is one of four sections of the new railway line between Lysaker and Sandvika. Skanska’s assignment includes all work except track laying. The section includes a 1.2 km railway tunnel, including securing, pre-injection, waterproofing and frost protection, etc. and approx. 800 metres of railway at ground level. Construction begins in March and is scheduled for completion in July 2011. Veidekke will establish the approximately 420 m-long access tunnel down to the main tunnel for the double-track line.
