Veidekke has developed and applied for a licence for the Kjosnes fjord power plant on behalf of Kjosnesfjorden Kraftverk AS. The contract price is NOK500 million. This is a turnkey contract for the construction work of a power plant, which will be built into the rock, 20 km of tunnels of sections ranging from 16 to 37 sq m, 700 m of shafts, two rockfill dams, eleven stream intakes, and complete structural and secondary engineering work. Veidekke is also responsible for the design of the project. When completed, the power plant will have a capacity of 70 MW and a production of 240 GWh. Entry in service is scheduled in July 2010.
