HS2 Ltd modified the C2 and C3 main works civils contracts (MWCC) awarded on 1 September 2017 for the London to Birmingham high speed rail line, HS2 First Phase.
The addition of two new partners Ferrovial Agroman Ltd (UK) and Bam Nuttall Ltd to the existing Joint Venture of Eiffage Genie Civil and Kier Infrastructure and Overseas Ltd has been required due to the insolvency of previous joint venture partner Carillion Construction Ltd.
The C2 - North Portal Chiltern Tunnels to Brackley contract (Lot 4) value is EUR1.68 bn (GBP1.49 bn), excluding VAT. The C3 -Brackley to South Portal of Long Itchington Wood Green Tunnel (Lot 5) value is EUR1.12 bn (GBP994 million), excluding VAT.
