Open invitation to tender, deadline 30.09.2019, for the
design of the tunnel/ geotechnical, alignment and infrastructure sectors, as
well as for the responsibility for the overall dossier from the MK phase -
intervention plan (the AP phase - executive project is optional). The 16.9 km long Gotthard Road Tunnel, opened
in 1980, needs comprehensive renovation due to its age. Until 2010, a Global
Conservation Concept (EK) was developed for the global project, focusing on a solution
without the construction of a second tunnel tube (2TG). The renovation measures
proposed in the EK are therefore to be reviewed at the beginning of the project
and new alignment study has to be carried out taking into account the new
