Open call for bids, deadline 17th May, 2004 for construction of a canal between the inner harbour basin with the sea in the Valencia harbour, 500 m in length, and a tunnel for two dual-lane carriageways, approximately 1 km in length. Cut-and-cover method or immersed tube. Total width of the two carriageways will be approximately 25 m, separated by a wall or pillars. This project is part of the infrastructure to be constructed for the America's Cup that Valencia will host in 2007. Award before the summer. Completion planned for 1st April, 2006.
