Includes three single-track tunnels in Planicello, Chiana Munda and Monaci. The Planicello tunnel is 336 m in length, whereof 208 m will be bored. Average cross section: 64 sq m. Full-face excavation with hydraulic hammer or bucket. Support with fibre-reinforced shotcrete. Reinforcement of the face and possibly the contours with fiberglass anchors. The Chiana Munda tunnel is 1,106 m in length, whereof 1,037.5 m will be bored. The Monaci tunnel is 1,415 m in length, whereof 1,325 m will be bored. Both feature a 59.4 sq m cross section and will be driven using an EPB TBM.
