Thu Thiem immersed section completeObayashi has completed the immersed tube section of the 1.49 km-long Thu Thiem tunnel beneath the Saigon river on the east-west highway in Ho Chi Minh City. Each of the four concrete elements is 98 m-long, 23.3 m-wide and 9 m-high with three traffic lanes in each direction. The highway is due to open in March, 2011. More at vn/15. 36/10.
