Crossrail’s second TBM has reached Canary Wharf box, breaking through on 06.06.2013. The two machines were launched from the Limmo site near Canning Town towards the end of last year on the 8.3 km of tunnels from east London to Farringdon which is Crossrail’s longest tunnel section. Both are undergoing maintenance inside the Canary Wharf station box before being transitted through the station box to resume tunnelling towards central London.
