There are four TBMs Krystyna and Elisabetta, Maria and Anna that are being used to tunnel the central Targowek and Wola sections of the Warsaw metro line 2. TBMs Krystyna and Elisabetta will now drive tunnels near Bemowo so they were recently moved to the construction site of the future Powstancow Slaskich station in Bemowo, a southern suburb of Warsaw. The machines will be lowered into the launch shaft for their assembly and launch towards the Ksiecia Janusza/Prince Janusz station of metro line 2. They will bore the 1369 m left tunnel and 1366 m right tunnel, installing 1824 m prefabricated rings along the way. The 2km section from Wola into the city’s Bemowo district will be the shortest on the metro Line 2 and it will include Ulrychow (C05) and Powstancow Slaskich (C04) stations.
