Project Scope
Award of a project management services contract for the preparation of studies for the proposed Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City high-speed railway (LGV).
The contract covers upstream development and coordination activities prior to construction, including:
- Structuring and management of feasibility studies (FS);
- Preparation and supervision of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED);
- Coordination of technical disciplines including railway alignment, tunnels, civil engineering works, architecture and electromechanical systems;
- Selection and supervision of national and international consultants for site investigations and surveys.
The awarded contract relates to preparatory and study phases and does not include construction works.

Tunnel Characteristics
The Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City high-speed railway is planned as a 1,541 km standard-gauge (1,435 mm) line.
- Design speed: Up to 350 km/h
- Infrastructure components: 23 passenger stations and 5 freight stations
- Underground works: Tunnel sections to be defined and developed during the study and design phases under the awarded contract
Tunnel engineering forms part of the technical disciplines to be managed within the scope of the studies contract.
