SPT is establishing a framework to call off suitable contractors to undertake the refurbishment of its Glasgow subway stations Ibrox, Kelvinhall, St Enoch, Govan, Buchanan, Cessnock, Kelvinbridge, Shields Rd, Kinning Park, St George's Cross, Bridge, Cowcaddens and West. The three companies John Graham Construction Ltd of Hillsborough, www.graham.co.uk, Sir Robert Mcalpine Ltd of Edinburgh, www.sir-robert-mcalpine.com and Clancy Docwra Ltd, of Livingston, www.theclancygroup.co.uk secured the station refurbishment framework, initial station award and future station advance work including Interchanges. Of the three companies awarded to this framework two contract awards were made for station refurbishments issued as part of the process to gain entrance to the framework. Ibrox station refurbishment was awarded to John Graham construction and Kelvinhall was awarded to Sir Robert McAlpine.
