Project Scope
Contract for renewal of cabling systems and electrical units associated with the tunnel lighting installation in the Mappo-Morettina tunnel (Lot 8220). The works form part of ongoing upgrades to tunnel operational safety systems on the N13 national road, including replacement of ageing electrical infrastructure, improved energy efficiency, and compliance with current Swiss tunnel safety standards.

Tunnel Characteristics

• Road tunnel, length 5,518 m
• Part of the N13 route linking Locarno to the A2 motorway
• Single-tube tunnel with bidirectional traffic
• Equipped with modern safety systems including lighting, ventilation and monitoring installations

Contract Value
€1.95 million (CHF 1.77 million).
