Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) assigned to Fluor Corporation a EUR140 million (USD185 million) contract to provide program management and construction supervision services for the approximately EUR3.75 billion (USD5 billion) Sharq Crossing programme – previously referred to as the Doha Bay Crossing programme. The project will traverse Doha Bay and will comprise bridge sections interconnected by an immersed tube tunnel to create a new passageway beneath the waters of Doha Bay.
