Project Scope

Award of a track renewal contract covering 46 km of railway line across five sections in Eastern Norway.

The works include:

• Replacement of existing track on the:
• Røros Line (Rørosbanen)
• Dovre Line (Dovrebanen)
• Gardermoen Line (Gardermobanen)
• Upper Main Line (Øvre Hovedbanen)
• Gjøvik Line (Gjøvikbanen)
• Installation of approximately 90,000 tonnes of ballast;
• Replacement of more than 75,000 sleepers.

The contract forms part of Bane NOR’s national railway maintenance programme. 

Tunnel Characteristics

Romeriksporten Tunnel

• Type: Double-track railway tunnel
• Length: 14.58 km
• Line: Gardermoen Line (Gardermobanen)

Track renewal works are to be carried out within the Romeriksporten Tunnel as part of the overall contract.

Contract Value

NOK 460 million (approximately EUR 40.82 million), excluding VAT. 

Duration

Main construction works are scheduled from early May to mid-September 2026. 

Location

Eastern Norway – Counties of Oslo, Akershus, Innlandet and Trøndelag, including works within the Romeriksporten Tunnel on the Gardermoen Line. 09/26.
