Prior information notice for the construction of new 24 km single-track railway section from Kriva Palanka to the border with Republic of Bulgaria, as part of Corridor VIII. The new railway section (section 3) consists of 23.4 km of single-track line with 22 tunnels (about 9 km, including the reconstruction of the border Deve Bair tunnel), 52 bridges/viaducts (about 5 km), railway station in Kriva Palanka, new station/halt in Zhidilovo. The Border tunnel at the end of Section 3 has a total length of 2,350 m. The Macedonian reconstructed part of this tunnel will be 1,150 m long. The remaining 1,200 m of the tunnel will be the responsibility of Bulgaria, and does not form part of this project. Value of contract EUR400 million, excluding VAT.
