Cariboni established east portals of 2 x 2.2 km, 90 sq m Mori bypass tunnels with umbrella arches of 40-44 x 110 mm x 12 m micropiles for first 36 m, and then drill/blast using Atlas Copco WL3C computerised drillrig with ABC in 80% sedimentary and 20% volcanic strata. 4.5 m rounds with steel arches, rockbolts, mesh, and reinforced shotcrete. 350 m advance to date.
