Today Tunnelbuilder celebrated 21 years of providing the tunnelling community with up to date, daily information on tenders, awards and news from throughout the world. 21 years ago tunnelling activity was such that tunnelbuilder was only updated weekly and with tenders/projects it would tend to be monthly. In the last 21 years so much has changed, the tunnelbuilder team is now researching 24/7 for 365 days of the year. But even with this we are still only able to cover about 70% of the tunnelling activity.
Last year the tunnelbuilder website was updated and we continue to adjust it to meet the needs of our readers and advertisers. The readership has gone from strength to strength and the website is still used across the world. Google analytics for 01/04/2020 at 10am GMT show that tunnelbuilder is being read ‘live’ by over 2000 people in 85 countries which is amazing!
Tunnelbuilder has a large following across social media in particular on LinkedIn with over 800 tunnelling or tunnelling related companies following us and individual followers are currently at 40,446. This is great for our advertisers as it gives them the opportunity to be seen by so many. Tunnelbuilder is constantly marketing companies that advertise on the website, creating connections throughout the tunnelling community and generating business.
On other social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram we continue to build our following. On Facebook we have created a free private Facebook group for tunnellers looking for work which is continually updated with whatever information we can find on projects around the world.
