On the 07.06.2018 the TBM Masha completed the Southern extension of the Metro Line 1 in Turin.

The TBM, had been launched last November 2017, and has finished driving the last 690 m section between the two Italia ’61-Regione Piemonte and Lingotto stations, installing 492 rings. The TBM passed the Lingotto underpass at a depth of almost 30 m, with a record performance of 15 rings/day or 21 m/day.

Works for completion of the stations and for the rail level of rolling and equipment installation are going to start once the dismantling and the extraction of the TBM are completed.
