The Mumbai Coastal Road Project (MCRP)

The 35.6 km long Mumbai/Bombay Coastal Road will connect the southern part of Mumbai from Marine Lines with Kandivali in the north. It will have 8 lanes, two of which are reserved for the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). The Coastal Road is divided into two parts: the South or Phase I section from Princess Street flyover to Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) which will be operated by MCGM (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai) and the North or Phase II section from Bandra to Kandivli which will be operated by BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation). The total cost of the project amounts to approximately 1.76 billion Euros (Rs 15,000 crore). The three contracts for the construction of the 9.98 km Phase I Coastal Road have been awarded, please
