TBM tunnelling underway at Brisbane Airport LinkBoth Herrenknecht 12.45 m-diameter EPBs are now underway at the Airport Link tunnels in Brisbane, Australia. Starting from Clayfield in a westerly direction, the machines will bore 2.5 km of the 4.8 km-long tunnels. The TBM systems include conveyors supplied by H+E Logistik, segment moulds by Herrenknecht Formwork, and guidance by VMT. VMT has also supplied 15 guidance and monitoring systems for the roadheaders and five systems for the bolters working elsewhere in the tunnels.
