Southern section of Prague ring motorway opens On 20.09.2010 the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic (RSD) opened the 23 km-long southern part of the Prague ring road. The section connects the D1 motorway to Brno with the R6 fast road to Karlovy Vary, R7 fast road to Slany and D5 motorway to Pilsen. The new section (lots 512, 513, 514 and 515) includes two twin-tube tunnels: Lochkov (1,661 m/1,620 m) and Cholupice (1,937 m/1,922 m).
