Singapore Downtown alignment fixedThe alignment of the third stage of the Downtown line connecting eastern suburbs of Singapore to Marina Bay has been revealed as 2 km longer than expected. The new 21 km alignment will have 16 stations, including an extra station at Jalan Besar, and will be completed in 2017. It will start at Chinatown and pass through the industrial areas of Kallang Bahru and Ubi and the residential areas of Bedok and Tampines, and end at Expo.
