Mtkvati Hesi LLC is a Georgian Hydro Power Plant Project that is located in the Akhaltsikhe Municipality of Samtskhe-Javakheti region, on the river Mtkvari and is a portfolio company of Georgian Co-Investment Fund. The project’s total investment value is US$ 131 M and its objective is to develop a hydro power plant with 53 MW of total installed capacity and 251.5 GWh annual energy generation. The total power generated from Mtkvari HPP will be utilized domestically.

In the November-December 2017 period, Mtkvari HPP will finalize the construction of its 9km tunnel and due to the above-mentioned reason will announce RFP on the sale of its used Herrenknecht Tunnel Boring Machine S-424 with a diameter of 6 meters.
