The Qatar integrated railway project includes four metro lines, for which initial tenders for four tunnelling packages worth EUR1.5-2.3 billion apiece are expected in April, 2012. These cover two running tunnels with underground stations at Mushereib and Education City as part of the 75.4 km-long, EUR26.4 billion Phase 1a which will run mostly underground and serve 26 stations.
