Construction of the Victorian Tunnelling Centre (VTC) at Holmesglen Institute in Chadstone in Australia is now finished.

The facility will cater for the next generation of construction and tunnelling workers whose expert skills will be needed for future major projects in Victoria.

Life-sized replicas of a mined tunnel and a tunnel boring machine have been created for trainees to gain a realistic experience in building underground infrastructure.

The training centre has two multi-purpose engineering and technical workshops, a material testing laboratory, a learning resource centre, construction-related simulations and augmented and virtual reality training programs.

The centre will offer Certificates, Diplomas and safety-based training.
