On the 15.01.2018 the Ministerio de Fomento with the publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE), opened a public information period. This was for an informative study of the N-230 road’s need for updating, for the section called the  Sopeira-Viella tunnel (km107 - km150,500) extending through to the municipal areas of Sopeira, Bonansa, Pont de Suert, Vilaller, Montanuy, Viella and Tremp. The informative study includes 2 alternatives for the upgrading:

Alternative 1 - 39,060 m in length, of which 20% in tunnel and 9% in viaduct; 

Alternative 2 - 40,205 m long, of which 14% in tunnel and 7% in viaduct (preselected with an estimated budget of 295.62 million). 

Both alternatives foresee the construction of additional lanes for slow vehicles, emergency parking for heavy vehicles and rest areas among other actions. For further information please visit
