Maintenance of underground infrastructure is one of the most important issues for the construction market. Nowadays, maintenance includes priority activities, in order to maintain the value of existing structures and guarantee safety conditions for users.   

The presentation by Engineer Alessio Chieregato of Mapei UTT - on the second day of the SIG Conference held during Expo Ferroviaria 2021 and dedicated to industrialization in the construction and maintenance processes of underground infrastructures - aims to briefly show a real operations cycle aimed to solving problems encountered in existing tunnels, emphasizing the use of innovative materials for the complete restoration of the damaged structures.   

This operational approach is due to a deep synergy between designers, executors and suppliers, to ensure, in addition to the proper conservation, also a gradual renewal of the life cycle of the national infrastructure assets.
