Herrenknecht celebrates Gotthard completionWhen 9.43 m-diameter Herrenknecht gripper TBM Heidi mined the last few metres of rock in the west tube of the Gotthard base tunnel between Faido and Sedrun, it signalled completion of the longest rail tunnel in the world.
