uk/44.This new contract is for a system which covers all major apparatus on the TBM , it includes AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) systems on the hydraulic power packs and pumps, inert gas on HV, LV and electrical switch cabinets with detection and alarm on specific areas. All equipment reports back to a main Fire Control Panel in the Operators Control Cabin. This most recent award has involved CAD design, site surveys and preparation of detailed programmes of work to ensure bringing in the project on time and in budget.Established in 1878, Hall & Kay have a background in sprinkler installations and over the years they have developed their range of products and can now offer turnkey packages covering a full inventory of detection and suppression systems. Services available include CAD design, supply, installation with commissioning and training on site.The personnel at Hall and Kay Fire Engineering Ltd has collectively been involved in the fire systems on over 20 TBMs in the past six years, on a diversity of TBMs related to the design, project management facilities and array of products that place the company at the forefront in this field.
