Lane Construction Corporation (60%), a U.S. subsidiary of the Salini Impregilo Group, with the National Contracting Transportation Corp of Sharjah (40%) has won contracts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) related to the Al Maktoum International Airport Expansion Project in Dubai. Value of the project is EUR117.5 million (USD125 million) project. The project entails new terminal facilities, concourses, runways, roads and tunnels. Once completed, the expanded airport is expected to accommodate more than 220 million passengers a year, making it the world’s biggest in terms of size and passenger capacity by 2050.
