New 20 km section of highway between Estepona and Guadiaro will require three drill/blast twin-tube tunnels: Pedro Jimenez (986/967 m); Santa Maria (821/822 m); and Valle Romano (920/914 m). Support to be steel arches, rockbolts and fibre-reinforced shotcrete. Commencement deadline May, 2000. Sept 1999.
