The Joint Venture Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras SL (45%), Rover Infraestructuras SA (45%) and Geotunel SL (10%) secured the EUR234.12 million contract, excluding VAT, for the construction of the 7.9km Valle del Genil section, part of the 19 km Loja Bypass on the Antequera–Granada high-speed line. The Valle del Genil section includes the Cerro de los Limones tunnel (1,295 m), the longest in the Loja Bypass, and two viaducts measuring 794 m and 693 m. The Loja Bypass will reduce travel times on rail connections to Granada, thanks to a new double-track and high-speed alignment.
