NRVA (Nedre Romerike Vann- og Avlopsselskap) from Strommen secured to Arne Olav Lund AS, a subsidiary of Peab Anlegg AS, the EUR 12.13 million (NOK144 million) contract for the construction of a new main water line between Tomtveien and Isakbekken north of Lillestrøm. Construction will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
The project includes building a new 3.3 km main water line and laying down signal cables and conduits. Tunnelling with concrete pipes past one of Norway’s busiest bus stations was chosen as the construction method instead of traditional digging.
