Obrascon Huarte Lain SA from Madrid secured the EUR151.08 million (NOK1.74bn) contract, excluding VAT, for engineering design services and construction of the Gjonnes tunnel (Contract E105) on the Lysaker –Ramstadsletta section of E18 Vestkorridoren/West Corridor. The Gjonnes tunnel is a new connection between Gjonnes and E18 at Strand with a further connection to Fornebu. The tunnel is a two-way tunnel with cross-section T9.5. Contract E105 includes the construction of approx. 1,500 m of the total of approx. 1,950 long tunnel. The remaining approx. 450 m will be executed in the adjoining contract E 102.
