Invitation to tender, deadline 14/09/20, for design, construction and completion of underground stations and the Phase-I tunnel of the Surat metro project. The contract, covering the section between pk 7160.6 and pk 10720, includes the twin-tube tunnel between Surat Railway Station and the South ramp of Chowk Bazar station, the cut&cover sections and the 3 underground stations of Chowk Bazar, Maskati Hospital and Surat Railway Station (including entrance and exit). They will be using the box pushing method with one section to be constructed using the NATM method for the launch and arrival chambers for the TBM. Contract value 106.17 million Euros (9.42 billion Indian Rupees). Contract duration will be 40 months.
