Blue Star announced that Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation
(MMRCL) has issued a Letter of Intent dated 18 June 2019 to the Company for
Design, manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Tunnel
Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems approximately valued at EUR32,38
million (INR2.53 bn), subject to the definitive agreements to be executed
between the Company and MMRCL.
The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the
city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, and the wider metropolitan region. The system is
being built in three phases over a 15-year period, with overall completion
expected in 2025. When completed, the core system will comprise 8 high-capacity
metro railway lines, spanning 235 km, 24% of which underground, with 200
