Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has been awarded a NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) contract worth EUR 243 million contract ( Rs 1783.42 crore) for constructing a 36 km four lane highway which includes 6 two-lane tunnels the total length is 2.97km between Ramban and Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir. The project is a part of NHDP (National Highways Development Project) Phase-II program of NHAI on NH1A (National Highway – 1A), now NH-44.
