The consortium Alstom/Thales secured the contract Group 1 - Signaling and Driving Modes, Centralized Control Systems and Telecommunication Systems for the Greater Cairo Metro, Line 3, Phase 3. The route of this phase extends from El-Attaba to Rod El-Farag corridor, passing through Al-Kit Kaat up to Cairo University station part of line 2 with a total length of 18 Km, it comprises 15 stations: 8 underground, 5 elevated and 2 at land level.
