Closing Date: 23.02.2026

The Danish Road Directorate has launched an early market dialogue with contractors and suppliers concerning the construction of the 1.8 km, four-lane Marselis Tunnel, to be built beneath Marselis Boulevard in the Municipality of Aarhus, together with the development of a new road above the tunnel once construction is complete.

The tunnel will provide a direct connection between the Port of Aarhus and the city centre with the Aarhus Syd motorway. The project scope also includes noise barriers, new pedestrian and cycle routes, and additional noise protection measures along the Aarhus Syd motorway at Stavtrup.

Ahead of the formal construction tender, the Danish Road Directorate is seeking market feedback on procurement and contract terms, as well as on construction methodologies. Input received through this market dialogue will be used to shape tender and contract specifications aligned with current market conditions and capabilities.

Participation requires downloading the following documents:

Document 1 outlines the dialogue process and provides sufficient project information to respond to the questions in Document 2.

Completed responses (Document 2) must be submitted to MAIR1@vd.dk, with a copy to MSVO@vd.dk, no later than 23 February 2026.

If shortlisted, participants will be invited to dialogue meetings scheduled for weeks 12 and 13, with invitations issued by 11 March 2026.

Contract value: €374.91 million (DKK 2.8 billion), excluding VAT.
