Scope of Works
Early market engagement with contractors and suppliers in advance of a future construction tender for the Marselis Tunnel project in the Municipality of Aarhus. The dialogue seeks feedback on procurement strategy, contract conditions and construction methodologies, with the aim of shaping the forthcoming tender documentation in line with current market capabilities.
The project comprises construction of a new road tunnel beneath Marselis Boulevard and the subsequent development of a new surface road above the completed tunnel.
Tunnel Details
- Tunnel type: Urban road tunnel
- Total length: approx. 1.8 km
- Configuration: four-lane tunnel
- Function: direct connection between the Port of Aarhus, Aarhus city centre and the Aarhus Syd motorway

- Construction of a new road above the tunnel alignment
- Noise barriers and noise mitigation measures
- New pedestrian and cycle routes
- Additional noise protection works along the Aarhus Syd motorway at Stavtrup
Contract Value
€374.91 million (DKK 2.8 billion), excluding VAT
Market Dialogue Process

Document 1 outlines the dialogue process and provides project information. Responses to Document 2 must be submitted by email.
Shortlisted participants will be invited to dialogue meetings scheduled for weeks 12 and 13, with invitations issued by 11 March 2026.
