Seymour Capilano Partnership, a jv of Frontier Kemper, Aecon and J F Shea that took on the 7.2 km-long Seymour Capilano tunnels following a differing ground conditions dispute in 2008/2009, has holed out three months ahead of the revised schedule. The second of two Robbins 3.8 m-diameter main beam TBMs broke through on 04.11.2010 after a two-year hard drive through granitic metavolcanic rock with up to 600 m cover.
