Scetauroute is undertaking the feasibility study, draft design and financial assessment for a road link in central Andes on behalf of the Chilean Ministry of Public Works and the Argentinian Transport Secretariat for a 13.2 km international tunnel, and a 2 km access tunnel on the Chilean side. Two-way single tube, 8.5 m-wide. Studies and supervision estimated at US$111 million, and tunnelling at US$408 million (1995 value). Construction to last eight years. Opening in 2014.
