Sochi tunnel holes through On 12.10.2010, the top heading of the single-track 441 m Krasnaya Polyana tunnel no 4 holed through at km 37 of the Adler-Alpika Servis combined railway and motorway that will serve the Winter Olympics at Sochi in Russia. Tunnelling started from the south portal using a Mitsui roadheader in November, 2009. Hard rock caused a change to drill/blast in April, 2010. Work mining the bench will commence shortly.
