On 29.04.2015 Metro 5 SpA will inaugurate the extension Garibaldi station to San Siro Stadium with five new stations of driverless automatic Line 5 in Milan.

The Purple Line from Bignami Northern Park to San Siro Stadium will be 12.8 km-long with 14 of 19 stations opened: Bignami Northern Park, Ponale, Bicocca, Ca’ Granda, Istria, Marche, Zara (interchange with the M3 Yellow Line), Isola, Garibaldi (interchange with the M2 Green Line, Bovisa-Rogoredo Rail Link and the other regional railway lines), Domodossola FNM (interchange with Ferrovie Nord), Lotto (interchange with the M1 Red Line), Segesta, San Siro Ippodromo and San Siro Stadio.
