Today 07/07/2021 at 12h30 there is a live streaming press conference organized by APE (Association de la Presse Etrangère) in Paris, ’Associazione della Stampa Estera (Italy) and TELT - Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin. The conference is to announce the awarding of tenders for the work on the French side of the tunnel: there is €3 billion worth of work available for the Lyon-Turin railway line.

One of Europe’s major projects, commissioned by the EU as part of the TEN-T rail network, is moving into a new phase with the award of the tenders for the tunnel at the base of Mont Cenis. This is the missing link in the Mediterranean Corridor, which connects the continent from Spain to Hungary, crossing regions representing 17% of the EU’s GDP.
