Fuyou tunnel - On June 10th , after 610 days of construction, the Fuyou tunnel part of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway, was successfully completed. It was built by the No. 1 Company of China Railway 22nd Bureau. The Fuyou Tunnel is located in Fuyou Village, Yantan Town, Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is in mountainous terrain in eastern Zhejiang. There is a single-hole double-track tunnel with a total length of 1979 m, it has been designed for a driving speed of 350 m per hour, at a maximum buried depth of 306.37 m
Xiangshanling tunnel - On 09/06/2022 the double line of the Xiangshanling tunnel was successfully completed in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province. The tunnel was built by the Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway part of the Fifth Company of the China Railway 11 Bureau Group Corporation – a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC). The 3,310 m double-track Xiangshanling tunnel has a design speed of 250 km per hour on the main line and a maximum buried depth of 170 m. It is parallel to the existing Shanghai-Kunming Line. The tunnel construction faces the risk of construction geological disasters such as groundwater development, large lithological changes, and collapse of rocks at the entrance and exit of the tunnel.
Part of the road on the left side of the Xiangshanling Tunnel passes through the existing Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway Mashan Tunnel, with a minimum clear distance of 12 m. In order to ensure the safety of the existing tunnel structure and operation, the project adopted the micro-vibration blasting technology in the tunnel excavation, and according to the requirement of the China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group the blasting vibration speed does could not exceed 1 cm per second.
The Hangzhou-Wenzhou Railway, after its completion, will connect the Yangtze River Delta region and the three metropolitan areas of Hangzhou, Jinyi and Wenzhou, forming a backbone intercity rail transit line that radiates from the core region of the Yangtze River Delta to the southeastern region of Zhejiang.
