New Rotterdam river crossing approved

On 08.12.2011 Dutch transport minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen gave the green light to build the Blankenburg road tunnel, west of Rotterdam. The proposed EUR1.2 billion toll tunnel will link the busy A20 and A15 motorways on the Krabbeplas-west route. Work will start in 2015.
