From October 15th until October 28th, you can vote to choose between the four possible names - Marika, Toscana, Bianca and Viola - of the TBM that will excavate the second tunnel, (the odd track), from Campo Marte to Rifredi for the High-Speed Railway Bypass in Florence, including the construction of the new Belfiore High-Speed Station and a High-Speed railway link composed of two single-track tunnels: click here to express your preference.

 The most voted formname will be announced during the inauguration ceremony of the new machine, which will be held at the Campo di Marte construction site in via del Campo d’Arrigo in Florence.

 The departure of the second TBM is scheduled for November, when the first TBM Iris, currently engaged in the excavation of the even track tunnel, will have arrived near the area of the Fortezza da Basso. The TBM Iris - 111 m long, weighing 1.5 t, and with an excavation diameter of 9.4 m - advances on average 10 m/day.
