The Cipe (Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning) at its meeting of 20/12/2019 approved the modification of the perimeter of the T3 section of line C of the Rome underground in order to bring the line tunnels of the section close to the body of the future Venice station, as envisaged by the project presented last July by Roma Capitale. The two TBMs, having avoided burial at the Fori Imperiali, will continue to excavate the line tunnels in the direction of Piazza Venezia.

Core drilling and drilling has already begun in Via dei Fori Imperiali. Also in Piazza Venezia, from mid-January, surveys will start, fundamental to correctly estimate the time and cost of the project of the future station.
