Highlights of 2005The Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia needed two new pedestrian tunnels in a hurry for the thousands of pilgrims arriving for Haj on 5th January, 2005. Turkish contractor SFTA ordered Atlas Copco drillrigs to drive the 839 m-long tunnels, but needed to make a start as soon as possible. This video tells the story of how the rigs were airlifted from Orebro airport by an AN-124-100 heavy cargo plane.
