On Thursday 24 July, the TBM Marguerite de Catellan broke through at the future Côte Pavée station, Lot 4 of Toulouse Line C: click here for the video.
The TBM - launched in August 2024 from the Montaudran - Piste des Geants station - dug just over 3 km of tunnel, passing through the Ormeau station in October 2024 and the Limayrac – Cite de l'espace station in March 2025. The TBM will now resume excavation of the last 750 m before reaching its final destination, the Saint Sauveur shaft in the city centre, where it will be dismantled and extracted.
The contract for Lot 4, relating to the construction of a 4,160 m tunnel with an internal diameter of 8.5 m and the four stations Montaudran Gare, L'Ormeau, Limayrac-Cite de l'Espace and Cote Pavee, on Toulouse's Line C, was awarded to the Horizon consortium, comprising Bouygues Travaux Publics, Bouygues Travaux Publics Régions France, Soletanche Bachy, Soletanche Bachy Tunnels and Bessac.
